Your Guide to Perth Motorcycle Shows & Events 2025

Perth’s motorcycle scene doesn’t run on giant indoor expos anymore. Those wrapped up back in 2015. What we have now is better: ride-outs, festivals that take over whole towns, track days, and easy going club meets where you actually feel part of the community.

Here’s a guide to the big dates and regular gatherings for Perth Motorcycle Shows across 2025 and 2026 with when, where, and what makes each event worth your time.

If you’re chasing four-wheeled events too, check out our guide to Perth Car Shows and Events.

1. York Motorcycle Festival

York Motorcycle Festival in front of Town hall

Date: Sunday 22 March 2026 | Entry: Free
Location: Avon Terrace, York WA

York’s historic main street fills with stunt shows, a Town Hall Show & Shine, markets and a charity ride. It is WA’s headline moto festival and worth the run out from Perth. Leave early if you don’t fancy sitting in traffic on the Great Eastern Highway. Once you’ve parked, it is all on foot along Avon Terrace, and there’s plenty for families too.

The event has been running since 2013 and regularly draws thousands of riders and visitors, making it the biggest community-led motorcycle event in WA.

More info at the York Motorcycle Festival website.

2. Rogue Motorcycles “Two Wheels, One Love”

Season: Monthly from September to May | Entry: Free
Location: Rogue Motorcycles HQ, 70 Plaistowe Mews, West Perth WA

Perth’s biggest regular moto meet. Every style of bike shows up, the coffee flows and the crowd is as friendly as they come. Held at 70 Plaistowe Mews in West Perth, usually on the third Sunday of the month. Parking fills quickly so aim to arrive early, and keep the throttle down around the venue out of respect for the neighbours.

For many riders this is more than just a meet, it is the social hub that keeps Perth’s scene ticking between the big festivals.

Check upcoming dates on the Rogue Motorcycles page.

3. Trakdayz

Trakdayz - Wanneroo Raceway

Next date: Sunday 21 September 2025 (Wanneroo)
Location: Wanneroo Raceway, Wattle Avenue East, Neerabup WA

Run by coaches in groups, these track days suit complete beginners through to advanced riders. It is the safe way to test yourself without worrying about your licence. Wanneroo and Collie both host events and dates book out quickly, especially the beginner groups. Bring water, check your tyre pressures, and make sure your gear meets the requirements before you arrive.

Many WA riders treat Trakdayz as a stepping stone into racing, while plenty just use it as a way to enjoy speed without the fines.

Bookings and the full calendar are on the Trakdayz site.

4. The Toy Run

Tradition: First Sunday of December
Location: Perth Metro (route varies annually)

Perth’s long-running charity ride supporting the Salvos. Thousands of bikes on the move, toys strapped to pillions and plenty of community spirit. The route and timings change year to year so check the official updates as the day approaches.

This is more than just a ride, it is a Christmas tradition that has raised tens of thousands of dollars in toys and donations over the decades.

Updates are posted via the DOCWA Toy Run.

5. Capel River Classic

Capel River Classic WA

Date: Saturday 18 October 2025 | Entry: Free
Location: Capel River Hall, 1688 Goodwood Road, Capel River WA

This South West favourite mixes historic motorcycles and cars with live music, a swap meet and a bar. The highlight is the Rustic Off-Road Ride where pre-1975 bikes take to gazetted gravel roads. It is a proper “ride ’em, don’t hide ’em” event. Capel is about two hours from Perth, so it’s worth making a weekend of it. If you’re after parts, get to the swap stalls early.

The event has built a reputation as WA’s living history bike meet, less polish and more personality.

Find event details on the Capel River Classic page.

6. Perth 4WD and Adventure Show

Perth 4WD and Adventure Show

Date: Friday 7 to Sunday 9 November 2025
Time: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm daily
Location: McCallum Park, Victoria Park WA

Not strictly a bike show but well worth it for adventure riders. Luggage, camping gear, touring talks and moto-friendly exhibitors fill McCallum Park on the river. Parking is tight around Vic Park so public transport makes life easier.

Adventure riders rate this show because you can compare gear side by side and talk directly to touring experts rather than just browsing catalogues.

Full details at the Perth 4WD & Adventure Show.

Other Events to Watch

  • 1. VMCCWA Old Iron Classic Show and Swap: Indoor classic display and swap meet, last held March 2025 at the Midland Railway Workshops. A must-visit for vintage bike enthusiasts. Watch the VMCCWA’s visitors page for 2026 details.
  • 2. World Supercross (WSX): Perth hosted a big double-header in 2024, but the 2025 Australian round goes to the Gold Coast. Treat it as an occasional Perth bonus rather than an annual fixture.

Perth Motorcycle Club Events

Perth Motorcycle Club Events

The real backbone of Perth’s bike culture is its clubs. Join one and your calendar fills quickly:

  1. 1. BMW Motorcycle Club of WA: Social rides, overnighters and technical days.
  2. 2. VMCCWA: Dedicated to classics over 25 years old and organisers of Old Iron.
  3. 3. Swan River H.O.G. Chapter: Harley focus but open to all, with regular rides and social events.
  4. 4. Perth Cafe Racers: The hub for customs, retros and misfits since 2011.

Why the Calendar Looks This Way

Perth doesn’t just line up bikes under lights anymore. The focus is on weekends where you can ride out, spend time in a town, bring the family and make a day of it. That is why so many of the best events are free, outdoors and community-driven.

Finding the Right Motorcycle Show for You

  • If you want a family day out with plenty to see and do, York is the one.
  • If you are into classic iron and old-school rides, head for Capel.
  • If you would rather sharpen your skills, book into Trakdayz.
  • Looking for a crew? Rogue’s Sunday meet is the easiest way in.
  • And if you are planning big WA adventures, the 4WD and Adventure Show has your gear covered.

Quick Checklist Before You Ride

  • Check event pages the week before in case details shift.
  • Hydrate and slap on sunscreen, most of these run all day outdoors.
  • If you are riding with a pillion or kids, plan your fuel and rest stops.
  • Keep it friendly at meets. Perth’s scene thrives on good manners and good chats.

At the end of the day the best calendar is the one you actually ride. Mark down the dates that matter to you, grab a mate or two and make this season one to remember out on the road.
