The Perth International Jazz Festival
The Perth International Jazz Festival (PIJF) returns for one weekend from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2020.
Presenting an array of incredible jazz performances in the Perth Cultural Precinct and Hyde Park, the Festival features ticketed and free community events for you to enjoy!
The festival showcases a host of celebrated local artists, and offers a jazz program that includes performances at venues around Perth and Northbridge as well as free community events – see highlights below.
NORTHBRIDGE PIAZZA COMMUNITY CONCERT PROGRAM
This stage in the bustling Northbridge Piazza showcases what the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts contributes to the culture of our city. The stage will be alive with music on Saturday & Sunday from 11am to 6pm starring WAAPA musicians’ past and present with jazz ranging from swing to Brazilian beats and Beyoncé!
JAZZ PICNIC IN THE PARK
On Sunday 8 November, 12.30pm-6pm, come to the lush surrounds of Hyde Park for a picnic and jazz in the park. Following a Welcome to Country from Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, catch Perth’s rising stars including Lucy Iffla Quartet, Melve and two WAYJO big bands – the Monday Night and Tuesday Night Orchestra’s inspired by jazz bands from the 1930s to 60s.
