At a time when it has never been more important to shop locally and support local businesses, Entwined in the Valley 2020 returns for a three-day showcase of the Swan Valley’s unique offerings.
This year’s program of dynamic and delicious boutique events will kick off on Friday October 9 with the inaugural Swan Valley Winemakers Association Quiz Night.
Across the weekend of October 10 and 11 more than 25 venues and producers will open their cellar doors, restaurants, and grounds to offer activities and experiences not available every day.
With spring in the air, visitors will be encouraged to taste, try, and do something new.
From bottomless brunches and long relaxed lunches to family fun and exclusive tastings,
there’s something for all ages and budgets.
New events include:
An afternoon of Beers, Beats, and Bites at Mash Brewing
A cider-making masterclass at Funk Cider
An afternoon of Bush Tucker, Sweet Treats, and Native Teas with Dale Tilbrook at Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery
Returning events include the Swan Valley Sisters Family Market Day, Sittella’s Sparkling Brunch and Make Your Own Nougat classes with Mondo Nougat.
Although the Swan Valley is Western Australia’s oldest wine region, it also has a growing reputation for making beer, cider, and award-winning spirits.
Entwined in the Valley this year boasts multiple chances to sample the spirit of the moment, gin:
Harris Organic will present Organic Distilling in Action, with the chance to learn about organic vodka, gin, and brandy
The multi-awarded Old Young’s Distillery will host a Cheese and Gin Extravaganza
The roaring 20s lands at Pandemonium Estate for the Swan Valley Gin Co’s Swan Valley Speakeasy
City of Swan Mayor Kevin Bailey said Entwined in the Valley provided a great opportunity for Swan Valley businesses to reconnect the Perth community with the wonderful produce and activities available in their own backyard.
“This year’s Entwined in the Valley program is a feast for the senses, with so many opportunities to enjoy delicious food, beverages and homegrown experiences you don’t get every weekend,” he said.

Swan Valley Winemakers Quiz Night, October 9
To be held at the historic Sandalford Wines, this fun evening will give wine and trivia lovers the chance to test their knowledge and sample some of the trophy-winning wines from the 2020 Swan Valley Wine Show.
The Rose, The Crown and The Marri Blossom, October 10
Join one of Australia’s oldest winemaking families, the Manns, for a very special evening at the historic Rose and Crown Hotel. Mann Winery and Corymbia, fourth-generation West Australian winemakers have paired their wines with a five-course dinner prepared by chef Kepler Weber. There will be spot prizes, live music, great food, and acclaimed wines. Bring your friends and make a night of it knowing that proceeds will go to Telethon.
Swan Valley Speakeasy, October 11 Celebrate Pandemonium Estate’s return to the roaring 20s with this unique behind-the-scenes insight into the passion that goes into making Swan Valley Gin Co’s most popular prohibition spirit. The hands-on masterclass will see guest don their best Gatsby attire and mix their own take-home bottle of gin. Tickets include a G&T on arrival and a menu of gin-infused foods including olives, cheese boards, and wood-fired pizza.
